I always read Taims 'dark aura' and all of that as a strong hint that he is a powerful darkfriend, nothing more.
Also the other Forsaken or high-ranking DF don't have such an aura, as far as we know (except Ishy in the first books).
Considering BS's comment, this could indicate that Taim did something with the TP or something was done to Taim with the TP between PoD and WH, which caused the aura (at least, if the dark aura can't only be seen by special people or under certain circumstances).
