IMO, the WC will eventually return to become true "Children of the Light" during TG, perhaps saving AS in grave danger (Egwene & Co.?) and sacrificing themselves against the Shadow. I think Egwene's Dream about "Galad wrapping himself in white as though putting on his own shroud" and that - according to Min - Galad is connected to Egwene in an important way indicate that. We already saw the beginning of this change among the WC in KoD.

However, it will be interesting how they will deal with Perrin & Co. in TGS. It seems likely that there still will be a rather conservative faction (probably Dain Bornhald, Jaret Byar and certainly Asunawa) and a modern faction (Galad, likely Trom or Doirellin, for example). As the TGS blurb indicates, there will be tensions at least. Maybe the conservative faction has to be weeded out yet before TG.
