Demandred is everything I look forward to in a villain... someone who is almost as dangerous as the main protagonist. RJ chose to make him work through proxies, to make him into some sort of ingenious puppet master. He gave Sammael the direct attack role, and I really wish it had been the other way around.

I'm sure we'll see something delightful before the end of the books, but I really wanted Demandred to do more in this series that was visible to us as readers.
