Any thoughts on this mysterious Forsaken?


He's going to pop up from wherever he is with a military force of some significance and probably start the events of TG.

My guess is that he's using Roederan and probably had a hand in the Dragonsworn problems that paved the way for the Seanchan to breeze through Tarabon, Amadicia and Altara. I doubt he was behind Masema, personally I think Lanfear set that in motion to help prod Rand along.

He'll likely lead the invasion of Andor and the battle of Caemlyn. I really hope we get to see Mat out-general him then gut him in combat.

Ultimately he's done nothing I can see to drive the story forward, so I'm not banking on anything special happening with him.


I agree with the sequence of events you outline, but not with the origin. I think he's with the Borderlanders. That army is much larger than any combination of Murandy/Dragonsworn, have already tried to lure Rand into Far Madding where he can't channel, and in perfect position to attack Andor right now.
