As has been said in the past, if you show a loaded gun in a play then it's a pretty safe bet that it will be fired by the end of the last act. The 13 Myrdrrall + 13 channelers is too powerful a loaded gun for it not to be used at all.

I believe we learn it has been used on many channelers. The kin seem particularly at risk to me, and I wonder if some of those who have 'wandered off' were in fact abducted and turned rather than killed. The windfinders are another group that could easily be turned off screen. One of the main characters may face danger of being turned but I think it highly unlikely any of them will be.
