I was just listening to the chapter in TGS wherein Verin reveals her BA status to Egwene and it got me thinking. (& some of you wondered what that 'smokey' smell was) My questions is, if swearing on the oath rod causes the ageless face to develop and stilling reverses that then why didn't the ageless face disappear when Verin's (and other members of the BA) oaths were removed? Or is there possibly something more to the whole thing? Could it have been a machination of the DO? Another thought just occurred to me, Could this have something to do with how Messana beat the oath rod? (Shrugs)

If this has been addressed already I apologize. My quick search didn't reveal any results.

Weird.

Anyway. My guess would be when you are stilled you are being cut off forcefully and against you will. When you have the oaths removed you are (usually) doing it willingly. Maybe that effects it?
