Perrin is Ilmarinen, Rand is Väinämöinen and Mat is Joukahainen

The names are very easy to pronounce even though they look long and un-English.
Anyway, Seppo Ilmarinen is the godly smith who created, among other things, the skies. He molds himself a wife out of gold, but that turns out to be a mistake. Perhaps Perrin will realize that Faile was a mistake, too?
Väinämöinen is the magical hero/wise man who never has any luck with women.
Joukahainen is an arrogant guy who tries to kill Väinämöinen. Actually, Lemminkäinen (a handsome red-haired man who loves women and war) would fit Mat much better, but the first three guys all have the same mother, so they sort of go together. Lemminkäinen marries the daughter of the ruler of the Finnish pagan underworld.
Those characters are from Kalevala, they aren't present in Finnish paganism.

What would be the trio of masculine archetypes, and how would the ta'veren fit them?

I wonder if those are the archetypes on which the buddy-cop dynamic is based.
