If a few score Yellows can't handle the disease issue, what point to the Aes Sedai at all?

And as a health professional, I just can't let this go. An army infested with cholera is no army at all.
And an army marches on its stomach, therefore she should spend more time cooking for them.
A municipal clerk is quite capable of handling the sanitation issues of even a city like Tar Valon. As the son of a borough councilman who headed a sewer committee, I can't give any credence to Egwene's position. Shit happens, literally in this case, and the garbage piling up in Tar Valon is a long term problem. The problem with a health professional's analysis is that he has a hammer and so sees everything as a nail. A practical leader or administrator knows that when someone has declared war on you - a formidable someone, if you Egwene-apologists are to be believed - garbage pick-up can wait until you have dealt with the potential attack by a Great Captain, and turned your attention to the shape of the world vis a vis their readiness to take on the Last Battle. A more appropriately analogous dialogue would go:
Captain Edward J Smith: All right, what's status on the iceberg situation?
Egwene: That can wait. How dare you let the arrangements for the deck chairs be neglected so badly? This calls for a mutiny!
