... I thought as you did, dreading reading about Perrin's angst and Moiraine's misplaced superiority.

But now those days are gone, and I'm not so self-assured. I realized that this perceived tediousness in their storylines was, in fact, a symptom of my own inability to appreciate the finer, more subtle points of characterization and plot development.

Now I find I've changed my mind, and opened up the doors to the possibility that there is some enjoyment to be had in these characters and their storylines, if I were just willing to delve a little deeper, invest a little more time in contemplating what lies beneath the surface, rather than make judgements based solely on appearance and superficial analysis.

Having done that now, my opinion of these two characters has changed in oh so many ways I've lost count, and the thought that they'll be receiving significant screentime in ToM leaves me positively giddy with anticipation.
