seems kind of cheap. Does that make any sense or am I just trying to make myself feel better? Doing a character's death that way, when people sort of care about him, is kinda like punching us in the face. If it's a lesser character then it's not a big deal. I'm not actually saying it would make me mad, it just seems more like something to make us worried that it's Olver or Talmanes, but it won't end up being either of them.


You are probably right. And it's probably too much to hope that Joline was in there getting ready to surprise Mat! Of course that makes me wonder if Teslyn will get killed by the Gholam now ... She is right there in the line of fire. BOO if that's the case ... She's by far my favorite of Mat's 3 AS!


I even loved her when she was playing tug of war with Mat's coat in Crown of Swords, before he found out who put the note in his pocket. I love every scene with her.

So she better not die. Shame on you for even suggesting it. Now I'm worried about Tarna and Pevara again.


I know! RJ finally introduces a few Reds that don't completely suck and now I'm worried he'll go GRRM on them!

Teslyn is one of my favorite minor characters as well, maybe we'll just lose Edisina or maybe Joline will have seduced the Gholam :P
