After all, how many more perfect opportunities to reveal it in Graendal's PoV does one need.

It isn't just about Graendal having to think it. Sanderson would have to take into account that many will read the prologue before the book is released, while many others won't. Yet, Asmodean is an issue that a lot of people are interested in. Laying it to reat so that one bunch of people figures it out more than a month in advance of the others would have not been acceptable.

IIRC, Graendal had now six pretty long POV, where she usually thinks about the other Forsaken, her plots and her standing among the Shadow, etc. Yet she never thinks that she killed Asmo. If she didn't think about it yet, why should she suddenly do it in another PoV (if she actually gets another one).

Besides that, before ToM, prologue, was published many people actually argued that Graendal will have a PoV in the prologue so that - among other things - she can state there that she killed Asmo.
