if the male a'dam was on this side of the aryth ocean and the seanchan a'dam on the other, how is there a similarity in design and purpose? just a coincidence?
That the Domination band was designed during the AoL, though I don't know why they would make one, but Moghedien or Semirhage called it by the name by which we know it now.
who was the male a'dam originally used on for it to have absorbed all that sadness and pain? just an unknown male channeller after the breaking?
I think that's just a side effect of the female touching the domination band. Just like Rand or Aran'gar can't touch the a'dam without flinching in pain.
Cuendillar only becomes stronger if you channel at it, yet the seals weaken as the DO touches the world again. arguably he's touching the seals with the true power, would it be possible to destroy cuendillar with the TP, destroy the male a'dam?

I doubt Callandor was intended to be a Sa'angreal for the TP.
Would it be possible to make Cuendillar using the TP?
Unknown. The same weave made using any of the different powers, Saidin, Saidar, or True Power, do things differently. Take the form of Travelling.
