Reading all the drivel a couple posts below made me remember why I hardly come over to this board and stopped frequenting the WOT board at Wotmania years ago. How petty.
People constantly complain about Sanderson and his writing. Whatever. Be happy we're getting a completed story. These were the same people who complained without end about Jordan and HIS writing style but now that Sanderson isn't writing exactly the same way, they're all up in arms over it. Who notices all this shit? It's not great literature. It's escapist fantasy. Enjoy it.
That's a good summary of my thoughts on the issue. The standards being set for Brandon Sanderson are some of the most ridiculous I've ever seen. The guy will never win with critics like that. People need to take the carrot out of their butts and enjoy the series for what it is. God man, Robert Jordan himself would have a convulsion if he saw what his successor had to put up with. Brandon will finally write a chapter with Mat that people enjoy because he manages to grasp the guy's character and then get burned at the stake because he's not thinking about what Egwene's doing at that time.
