I think it would have been much more satisfying for Elaida to be taken down by her own people. It was amusing that she got taken by the Seanchan but I would have preferred her being pulled down by the Hall because of Egwene/Thom.
I guess Faile/Perrin/Rand never got revenge on Galina either, so maybe RJ never did intend it to happen that way with Elaida.
that in the outrigger novels RJ planned, where Mat and Fortuona go back to reconquer Seandar/Seanchan, that Thom would go with them and they would find Elaida-as-Suffa as a very good Damane.
But that's me being a bit more vindictive than I should be toward a fictional character.
