As far as we know the oath rod is infallible. Is it though? Perhaps an oath limits ones methods are more reliable than one that completely voids the possibility. The oath against lying does not stop one from being deceptive. The oath against using the one power as a weapon and even the one against the creation of weapons both have exceptions. I would believe there was a reason for this. In fact, the only oaths we have that leave no choices to the bound person are Galina's oath of obedience and she is devoid of any will to fight against it.

What is the loophole in the oath against creating weapons? Do you mean "for one man to kill another"? And thus they can make it for one man to kill a woman, one woman to kill a man, or one woman to kill women etc etc etc?

I think the Dark oath loophole is a plot contrivance for Verin's scene because we never knew what the dark oaths were before that moment.

However Aes Sedai being Aes Sedai it stands to reason that whoever instituted the oaths should have realized they could wiggle out of it in a hundred different methods and used something like the oaths of obedience that the Sitters used on the BA and Therava used on Galina
