But we've also seen much weaker channelers with Talents, affinities and skills that enable them to compete and exceed what stronger channeler can do in at least their one area of expertise. Keep in mind that any Yellow Ajah Sister can exceed Rands' healing capacity, and we've already met a member of the Kin that can maintain a Shield that can hold a vastly more powerful channeler.
But those are Talents, which by definition make the channeler special because their aptitude far exceeds what one would expect of them.
The real analogy would be: A pro NFL QB might have a stronger arm, but it is the person that has a weapon or tool they can use skillfully that will win an actual life or death fight. What use is bragging about how much you can bench press in optimum, controlled conditions when you are on a battlefield where a single piece of shrapnel, no matter how small, can be fatal?
I've never thought that strength in the Power is as simple as muscle mass. I think that, almost without exception, that your affinity for the True Source increases as you get stronger with the Power. The stronger you are, the easier things come to you, the more your body understands and can use the One Power.
Nynaeve shows how easily she can weave Daigian's test weaves, and she requires almost zero effort. Nynaeve is not even a skilled channeler in most areas, but she requires no practice for most things and can copy things with ease. Women like Elayne and Egwene can split their flows many ways whereas most Aes Sedai top out at three flows.
Everything requires practice and knowledge, but I still think that if you take Sharina and Bode and start teaching them about saidar that Sharina will learn faster and do much better than Bode, unless Bode has a Talent in something.
Even in sport one gets 'sport sense' and 'ball sense', and I think that strength in the Power is actually about that. Sensing, feeling, using the Power to greater and greater degrees.
