I found it very strange when egwene asked fealty from nisao and myrelle, when firstly being outraged that AS should swear to rand or anyone.
Especially as the principles are the same as she articulated to her victims.

was it confirmed whether the fog in the rebel camp was made by fain or was it just a bubble of evil? there was also a similar fog in the Rahad in Ebou Dar when mat was there, so i'm thinking bubble.
Meant to be a bubble. IMO, there would have been something more vicious had it originated with Fain. The Dark One is not so much malicious as inhuman. The random deaths from his bubbles give the impression of someone being squashed by an indifferent giant, or slaughtered for his idle amusement as a boy might pull the legs off a spider. I don't think the fog as made by Fain would be so easily traversed and resisted, and it would have been more localized (and targeted directly at Rand, rather than the region in general).

logain stepping over a body that appears to be rand seems like the death of taim, maybe taim claims to be rand, using MoM to impersonate him while rand is otherwise engaged elsewhere, spreading chaos and doing evil things. possibly the BA supposed plot in TDR and TSR could foreshadow this?
A possibility, though we'd almost certainly have heard rumors by now. There would have been reports or stories reaching the ears of PoV characters that would have been ignored as rumors at first, but would have persisted. The way the vermin started showing up subtly in WH, well before the food spoilage and infestations were noted as a major problem in subsequent books is one example.

how did everyone know of that cache in ebou dar? sammael was searching for it as were the BA, who i think were working for moridin? makes the most the sense...
Someone gave the order to the Kin a long time ago to hoard them. As far as the Forsaken learning of it - recall that Elayne & Nynaeve told Sheriam & co all about it when they first found the cache and since then obtained the Hall's permission to go to Ebou Dar & look for it. That's at least 3 or 4 Darkfriends right there who know about it. How could the Forsaken NOT?

will the alanna link have a long term consequence, i can't really remember it having that much bearing on the story so far. perhaps alanna will die and rand, being her warder will have that death enveloping his soul thing that lan had.
Good question.

with the continued effort to keep rand alive at least till the last battle i have a feeling that the DO needs rand there as much as the prophecies do. perhaps the prelude to TG, is all about setting the pieces to see who has the strongest board before the fight. i think that if rand dies at TG the DO can control his soul from beyond the grave and win. maybe as part of the prophecies, to die and live again, blood on the rocks of shayol ghul etc. rand will die and by encountering the DO from the afterlife (or whatever) he can defeat and reseal the prison and then come back in another body.
This is as good a specific theory as any other. What we can directly infer from the books and RJ's comment on the Dark One's perceptions being influenced by the Forsaken is that Moridin has his ear (and likely has had it for a long time now) so his perspective, as informed by the game he plays in the opening of tPoD, is that Rand is a tool to be used by either side, and who can enable the best possible outcome of the struggle. Regardless of whether or not his silly little game is an accurrate representation of the struggle between the Light & Shadow, the key thing is that Moridin BELIEVES IT IS, and HE acts accordingly. Because of his influence on the Dark One, the Dark One likewise sometimes acts in this manner. He might just be humoring Moridin and it is very possible that he does not fully trust his own Nae'blis. Actually, given the Dark One's nature, it is almost CERTAIN that he does not trust him. That's why other servants of the Shadow are able to get away with murder attempts on Rand, like the attack of the renegade Asha'man or Slayer or the Trollocs in KoD, who were almost certainly sent by a Forsaken.

also for the three will be one, how about the three ta'verens? in aCoS we get the first lot of swirling colours and stuff as the three think of one of the others. what if it becomes so that the three are merged in someway? i dunno, maybe they become a super-ta'veren and bend the pattern so much they defeat the DO?
I think tGS clears that up in Min's & Cadsuane's discussion.
