What's up with the (mis)quoted Finn rhyme on the front page of the copies received by Larry and Pat?

The original rhyme:

"Courage to strengthen, fire to blind, music to dazzle, iron to bind."

Larry got: Music to daze.

Pat got: Iron to blind.

What's up with that? Did Brandon just muck up, or is this a clue? With all the talk of cheating... did the Finn cheat by fooling the humans into thinking that they fear fire, music and iron?


In The Shadow Rising chapter 28 Birgitte says it as "music to daze."

Brandon was signing a bunch of books in a row and probably just slipped that "l" in by mistake. I'll remind him to be careful...
