Larry has received an advanced copy and read it. He knows who killed Asmo. Also, he is really milking the fact that Wot fans on this board hang from his every somewhat spoilerish word for the time being. Now to the point...

He has mentioned that the important number regarding Asmo's killer is 3. Some have speculated that this means it is an alliance of 3 forsaken. But the truth is that it refers to the number of wishes granted by the Fins!

I have been on record as saying the killer is Slayer (which I still mostly believe). But if Larry is not just screwing with us (a distinct possibility), then could the outlandish Moiraine or Lanfear theories be correct?


When I read FoH for the firt time, I thought that it was Lanfear. And still think she's the best candidate for it.
She was the only candidate for me that was "obvious" by the reaction Asmodean has - he was very surprised.

"Three" as in "alliance of 3 forsaken" doesn't cut it, since there were 4 Forsaken in that alliance: Lanfear, Graendal, Rahvin and Sammael. I don't understand how it became alliance of 3.

Moiraine as a killer doesn't cut it. She knew about Asmodean. We even read the letter from her to Rand stating that she understands importance of him to Rand. I don't see how it's possible for her in a course of 24 hours (from the day Rand received news of Morgase, to the day after the battle with Rahvin) to change her mind.
