What would be a let down for you?
My thoughts...
1. Moiraine can no longer channel.
This would suck and serve no purpose in my mind. But we'll have to see.
2. Demandred is once again not revealed.
I have reached the point I don't give a crap who Demandred is, and that annoys me. He was set up to be this huge menace and I really don't know who he could be that would be huge enough to live up to the hype. Maybe if he is someone like Bashere it would be huge enough, but I anticipate a let down whether we find out or not.
3. The Seanchan continue to refuse to fight with the mainland against the Shadow and TG starts in a fragmented way.
Well that would be stupid of them. Which is why it will probably happen.
4. Aran'gar is not dead.
Gah! One of them has to be dead out of that exchange or I will be annoyed.
5. The Tower remains bitchy instead of uniting against the Shadow.
As I said about the Seahchan, that would be stupid which is why it will probably happen. Some people don't care about the big picture when they have their own petty differences to bitch about. Yes, this would be terribly disappointing.
6. Taim retains control of the BT by the end of the book.
That guy needs to be dealt with swiftly and decisively. If Rand continues to ignore the threat Taim poses I will reach through the pages and throttle him myself.
Honestly though, does anyone think that Rand and Logain can get back control of the Black Tower? Logain maybe, but I can see even the non-Darkfriend members wondering what loyalty they owe Rand when Taim is the one who has been there training and leading them. Ignoring the Black Tower was a serious mistake on Rand's part.

Lan dying. I know it's been foreshadowed for the entire series and I think someone else said this as well, but I just really hope for a reprieve for him. He's given so much already, I really want him to win and go home happy to a quiet life. I know it won't suit him, but a girl can dream!
Learning who killed Asmodean. I mean, I'm intrigued and would like to know, but I've never really had a horse in that race so watching the vehement arguments die will sadden me greatly.
