Still a bad deal for the Wise Ones/Windfinders as they get useless Accepted while having the next generation infected by Aes Sedai meglomania.
I guess we tend to see the wise ones from a more positive light, given that they are, as a group, more devoted to helping Rand. But I don't see how they are all that much better than the Aes Sedai. At least as far as 'meglomania', the wise ones are just as bad as the aes sedai. There are a few annoying traits specific to the Aes Sedai, but hopefully Egwene will be working to change these.
And as Egwene mentioned in LoC, there are some weaves that the Wise ones do better, and some weaves that the Aes Sedai do better. Or that the Wise Ones don't even know about, such as healing. So just as far as channeling knowledge, there is plenty that will be beneficial to both groups to swap around.
And the windfinders, as pretty much everyone will agree, are the most annoying people in the entire series.
So I don't see how it is all that unfair an agreement.
It's unfair because the WF/WO's appreantices wont learn anything that really benefits their people. What they will be thaught is the Aes Sedai way of doing things i.e lying, scheming, backstabbing powermongering keep everybody weak and stupid so they can't challange us way.
It's not about knowing X number of weaves but rather how you use them. The Wise Ones and Windfinders work with and for their people while the Aes Sedai do nothing for the world.
I guess I'm in minority then because I do not find the Windfinders annoying at all. I cheered when they started to demand that the Aes Sedai actually honor the deal they made for the Bowl of winds, not that the Aes Sedai actually did that though. Two teachers out of twenty promised, one outright defects (Merielle (sp?)) and the other only remains because she fails to desert.
Speaking of which, I suppose that deal wont be honored now that Egwene has the power to ignore it and an other deal in place
