Why did the Borderlanders not travel to the borderlands to fight the trollocs they were told were attacking instead of going with Rand to the meeting with Egwene?

I would want to go and defend my homelands and save my people.

Any ideas?


Probably because they are sworn to follow Rand, and Rand told them to?
