Does it really matter? DomA Send a noteboard - 06/11/2010 03:27:51 AM
When Rand identified them, why couldn't they let go of their allegiance to the DO, and do their duty by asking Rand to transport them to Ituralde's army in the Borderlands to fight against the DO?

Is it because they cannot do so, or did not want to do so?

The story has pretty much reached the point where the DO's power over the DF and Forsaken etc. is so great it's pretty pointless to want to bring back to the Light anyone who follows the Shadow. The followers of Shai'tan have made their bed by now too.

What would be the point of trusting DF who may or may not have really repented anyway? We've seen how it works when DF switch side. There's no point in doing it to save your skin or out of selfishness - the Shadow will get you sooner than later. If you see the Light again, there's only one way out we've seen so far: self-sacrifice.

Neither Weiramon nor Anaiyella ever striked me as the type who would make Ingtar's or Verin's choice.

I think they swear oaths. I would assume they are bound in some way to them. - 06/11/2010 04:16:09 AM 432 Views
