What would be the point of trusting DF who may or may not have really repented anyway? We've seen how it works when DF switch side. There's no point in doing it to save your skin or out of selfishness - the Shadow will get you sooner than later. If you see the Light again, there's only one way out we've seen so far: self-sacrifice.

Neither Weiramon nor Anaiyella ever striked me as the type who would make Ingtar's or Verin's choice.

It just seemed so sad though, listening to Weiramon and Anaiyella being forced to leave. I thought they would take up the self-sacrifice option, but they just left :(
