The role he now has to assume for Egwene is pretty much identical to the one he was to have assumed for Elayne as First Prince of the Sword, in respects to the obedience/loyalty issues that were the crux of Gawyn's arc. Of course the responsibilities differ somewhat in that Egwene's Warder won't have control of Tar Valon's armies, but other than that, they're remarkably similar.
We never really got a connon discription of the political power division for andor (unless it was in the encyclopedia that I didn"t read that closely) but I don't think so. I have always envisioned teh FPotS in Andor to be fairly close to a co-ruler type situation, but his authority is restricted to military and not civilian matters. Short of treason to the state, the FP can't be fired. But this is just my perception of the situation..
