When he was facing the Borderland monarchs, Rand said very clearly that the OP wasn't the only power. I assumed he was talking about the TP, but maybe he has access to something else.
He mentioned that he might have used balefire if he had come several weeks before, i.e. before his epiphany. Since he didn't have access to whatever extra power/abilities then that he does now, he could only have meant the TP.
