Maybe its late and I'm tired, but this doesn't make much sense. How would the 'defect' in Callandor seal the bore?
The mechanics of the 'defect' will hopefully be a RAFO for the next book.
That Callandor was such an important tool to preserve for LT even with a defect... I think it's a feature of Callandor rather than a flaw... We havent seen it in use since the Cleansing have we?
