Isn't the flaw in Callandor its inability to buffer the wielder from drawing too much power?
There is that, but ToM seems to present another issue with Callandor that we do not yet know about - hence the speculation about what it might be. Specifically, Min and Cadsuanne, etc ponder why Callandor is referred to as a "fearful blade", etc which doesn't really jive with the unbuffered condition we've known about since early in the series.
