Everything we do know indicates the second will be Alivia and not Moiraine, so I don't see the relevance anyways.

Speaking of, we know that Moiraine has one last thing to contribute to the world/Dragon Reborn: has this been discussed anywhere recently? I don't recall reading a thread about it.

The only thing we know about Alivia is that she'll help him die. Callandor requires two women. Why is only one of them helping him die?

We have just as much indication (more in my opinion) that the other will be Moiraine. Rand will fail without her, the world is doomed without her, and Rand wants someone he can trust as the third. Alivia's name didn't even come up in his mind while he was trying to decide. And, this one is more personal to me, but it would be way more poignant and better for the story if the two people with Rand at the end are Nynaeve and Moiraine. Not some random Seanchan we know nothing about.

And if OP strength has anything to do with Rand beating the Dark One I'll eat my foot.

Rand wants to, and needs to be surrounded by those he trusts. I'm not big on symbolism but I really think it has a part to play here with callandor. It will be poignant for him to save the world linked with Moiraine and Nynaeve.

My ideas on Moiraine (but they aren't very original or exciting) - 17/11/2010 05:17:36 AM 1036 Views
But what about Moiraine being so weak now..... - 17/11/2010 05:26:30 AM 1142 Views

I haven't forgotten Alivia. It would just suck if it was her. Nynaeve and Moiraine would - 18/11/2010 01:11:08 AM 919 Views
Moiraine is far too weak to be of use as a channeling partner with Callandor. *NM* - 18/11/2010 01:27:59 PM 436 Views

That would piss me off, seeing as it's her fault Moiraine had to be food *NM* - 17/11/2010 09:37:29 AM 447 Views

Ya. I understand it. I'd just prefer if Rand gets to make his choice again, and kills her this time - 17/11/2010 09:54:25 AM 957 Views

I bet she would turn if it would mean Rand "accepting" her but not otherwise. - 17/11/2010 11:56:15 AM 971 Views
