The Seanchan belief in the system of leashing channelers is so engranded that it will take something terrible to break them out of the habit. The way RJ set it up I suspect it will be the sight of vast armies of Shadowspawn comming out of the blight and the Seanchan being forced to work with other channeling groups.

Yes the Seanchan know that the Last Battle is comming and have known for a few books but it is an abstract idea to them. There is nothing like seeing a 100,000 hungry trollocks comming for you to make one reevaluate one's beliefs.
