My claim was always that Graendal couldn't have orchestrated Natrin's Barrow. And she didn't. She clumsily survived by luck, simultaneously losing a powerful asset of the Shadow in the process. There was no need to kill Aran'gar, and in fact, this proved to be one of her later undoings.
