The disney ending is not realistic - or at least not as believable

Why not?
Sure it's probably stupid to say it's not realistic, when it's a fantasy series, so it's not realistic by definition. However within that I want believability, that even in the WOT sometimes the price of victory makes you (the fan) wonder if the price was too high to make it worthwhile. Now WOT >> ASoIaF, but the one thing that has over WOT is you never can take a characters surviving or living happily ever after for granted. I want some grit to the story, not all sugared ending.

Agreed. The series is formulaic and predictable, and even I expected a few more twists.
