I dont doubt that. Ituralde used similar tactics when he was facing the Seanchan. I simply object to the description of damane as better than Asha'man on a one to one basis. We've seen them fight. The Asha'man were outnumbered and still won.
When did I ever say that?
What I've been saying is don't underestimate the Seanchan, let alone the numerous amount of Damane they have at their disposal. I constantly refer to a the only example in the books in which both channeler groups faced off against one another. The Ashaman along with Rand's conventional forces repelled the Seanchan invasion of Illian, but they weren't able to push them out of Altara, and that was before the main fleet even arrived. It was a stalemate.
Now, if the argument is that the Seanchan Empire, with all its thousands of damane and millions (if the Civil War was concluded promptly) of support troops would be capable of crushing the Black Tower should said Tower find itself fighting without the support of other peoples... That argument I would have no objection to.
Which is what I've been trying to fucking say.
"The Ashaman are a force to be reckon with, but it's huge mistake underestimating the Seanchan war machine."
"The fact that they have so many Damane at their disposal is scary enough."
