If these guys were trying to make it look like a failed AIel killing, they suck at it.

because they carried spears and wore Aiel clothes?
Character assassination by masquerading as someone you're not only works if you leave witnesses. If a distinctively attired group of people is killing everyone and everything they can find, almost as if trying to PREVENT witnesses, odds are good they're who they appear to be.
I don't understand why it's so important to people that these guys aren't Aiel. The alternative is that RJ/Sanderson are trotting out a big game changer at the end of the series, which seems kinda asinine to me. What's the matter, you don't think there are enough people finding fault with the writing, so we need more...?

The Aiel at the end are Aiel because they have veils (which they didn't replace before killing).

True, at that point she was essentially a feral animal.

There's actually a pretty good chance they aren't channelers, I think.

Whoever she had been, she was surely no Aiel, not with that pale skin and /those dark eyes./

Perhaps the black eyes are due to something akin to the saa? *NM*

Makes sense if they're Dreadlords, though, in a way, that would be disappointing.

There's no evidence to that effect; on what do you base that statement?
