Skill is more important. But... Lohikaarme Send a noteboard - 14/12/2010 11:49:02 AM

ie:
1) Lanfear VS. Rand at the docks (she was too skilled)
2) Cyndane VS. Alivia (who was trained in battle for nearly 400 years! Also had a strong angreal and a ter'angreal to fizzle weaves directed against her, yet SHE was the one who got fried)
3) Moiraine VS. Lanfear (nothing to do with the Power)
4) Moiraine VS. Bel'al (not even Rand can stop balefire)
5) Rand VS. Rahvin (again, balefire makes playing ground equal no matter who is stronger)
6) Egwene VS. Mesaana (all about skill)
etc, etc, etc

1) Rand didn't commit fully.
2) True
3) Exactly
4) But Bel'al did see Moiraine coming and didn't kill her: why?
5) I don't remember: why didn't Rahvin use balefire himself? Anyway it's not about skill, nor strength, but what they are allowed/prepeared to use to win.
6) Ter'aran'rhiold makes anything done with the OP irrelevant. It was skill in the Dream, not OP.
Stuck in Finnland!

Thanks. Guess I focused too much on the T'A'R portion of the fight. *NM* - 25/12/2010 10:06:19 PM 253 Views
