Viewings and prophesies are supposed to be set in stone, but are now less fixed.

Dreams were always about possibilities, and contained ifs and buts. Egwene's dream indicates a likely disastrous outcome if Rand does whatever severing those ropes alludes to (almost certainly breaking the seals). That isn't set in stone anyway, and the recent weakening of the Pattern won't affect it.
