First of all, I read it as he has accepted LTT memories, therefore he's more adept and far more skilled at his use of the OP.
Secondly, I feel as though his ta'vereness has increased greatly. I feel this is because instead of him fighting against everything so hard he's accepted his path and he can make it work for him rather than appear to work against him.
