I think it's also supremely interesting that Rand still has feelings for her. Seeing Lanfear in that state awoke feelings of desire. Dude clearly isn't as perfectly in Nirvana as he seems which sets up some interesting possibilities in the next book.


Lews had a long affair with her in his youth. The feeling didn't sound like Rand's


Rand is LTT. LTT is Rand. The DR was a fractured soul, that needed re-integration. This happened at the conclusion of TGS. There is no more PoV from the "old" Rand, or voice of LTT. He is now one with himself.


I'm saying this lust is based on his memories from his life as Lews Therin.

Feeling aren't based just on who you are, they're grounded in your memories and personal history. You wouldn't feel the same things (or to the same degree) to your spouse if you hit your head and forgot who s/he is even though you're the same person. Rand's interactions with Lanfear in his current life can't explain this feeling he has.
