Besides, he knew of the Well from their previous visit to Far Madding...

I don't disagree. But Sanderson's mistake came in a somewhat important revelatory scene, which makes it harder to snip out. Not that I think it's likely anything will be snipped.
Uh huh.
Right.
Or that Sanderson just invented the name – or, more likely, just fucked up the history. Doma's right about that. I think it's fairly unambiguous that Sanderson/Rand is referring to the system as a whole when using the name, though.
It is pretty clear from RJ's Cleansing scene that neither Demandred nor Lanfear had encountered the two most striking effects of Cadsuane's ornaments before. RJ was crystal clear in that respect.
Uh huh.
What we're left with is that either Sanderson made a mistake when he had Semirhage allude to the paralis net, and again when Lews Therin referred to it, or else the paralis net in its Age of Legends form did not include those two functions.
Right.
The fact that the "paralis net" had an official name at all, makes it more likely that it existed in the Age of Legends, and therefore the logical answer is that Lews Therin and Semirhage's paralis nets served a different purpose to saidin detection and weave unravelling.
Or that Sanderson just invented the name – or, more likely, just fucked up the history. Doma's right about that. I think it's fairly unambiguous that Sanderson/Rand is referring to the system as a whole when using the name, though.
He acknowledges ornaments that are unknown to him. Clearly, therefore, a paralis net could be mounted with a wide range of angreal and ter'angreal. They weren't created with a predetermined set of attached items.
And his mention of a "full" paralis net seems more likely to be a reference to the number of "mountings" that the net has, and that they are all occuppied (some by ornaments that he does not recognize). It is therefore "fully loaded" so to speak. Utilized to maximum capacity.
The net in itself probably doesn't do anything. It merely allows mulitple angreal and ter'angreal to be used simultaneously, and to be permanantly accessible. The individual effects are up to the items attached. Of which a Well was apparantly quite a standard attachment, hence Rand's guess that this paralis net included one that would allow Cadsuane to channel in Far Madding.
They used it during his last visit there, after all.
