I still half expect Egwene to die. Joel Send a noteboard - 07/01/2011 04:00:06 AM
Harry Potter actually had good people get killed, people we cared about.

Rosenberg broke me of needing important beloved characters to die for the sake of realism; I think most people thought Karl Cullinane was the protagonist--right up until the moment he blew himself to bloody chunks on the Melawei beach.

"Only red shirts die" - tell me about it. Wheel of Time is worse than Harry Potter. Tom - 04/01/2011 04:13:25 AM 1384 Views
Maybe I'm a sap, but I prefer "only red shirts die" to George R.R. Martin's "only red shirts live." *NM* The Count - 05/01/2011 04:58:31 AM 787 Views

It's a shame - no real loss considering all of the "red shirts" the series eventually accumulated. RugbyPlayingAshaman - 04/01/2011 04:10:00 PM 1456 Views
