I thought he only had a beard. Could someone please direct me to a description of his with the mustache too? I promise to never complain about it again if it's proven.

Every time we see an Illianer beard it is pointed out quite clearly "with the upper lip bare", so we might safely assume that if it is not specified, the default beard includes a moustache too.
