Just my Humble Opinion, But I think that Rand will somehow use himself to seal the bore. Avi's 3rd trip through the Rhuidean references that the Dragon abandoned the Aiel. I think they would (will) have given him much more honor if he had simply died in battle. The last time, the Forsaken were sealed into the Bore. I think that what was missing was that there was nothing in the sealed in to be a guardian to the pattern. Just as the forsaken were sealed in for 1000s of years, still aware to some degree, Rand will be as well, denying the DO reentry through the bore.
True Power needed to seal away the Dark One?

The true power is the essense of the DO, according to RJ, which makes this highly unlikely. *NM*

I think he was reflecting on how close the DO came to corrupting him.
