No, I think RJ just didn't think it through, seeing as Rand sliced Lanfear's invisible weaves too... Shannow Send a noteboard - 04/02/2011 11:42:38 AM

Demandred had wardings at the Cleansing that were struck as soon as something hit him.

It's more than likely that Lanfear did the same, and it would kind of suicidal not to considering she cannot sense saidin. She either had true warding around her that resonated when they sensed an attack and showed the direction so that she could slice it quickly, or she permanently swung slicing weaves around herself and they cut anything that approached her.

In that same battle Rand doesn't know anything about Demandred's wardings, nor does he have slicing weaves revolving around him to cut any female attacks.

Instead, he somehow BLINDLY manages to cut weaves he cannot see.

Frankly, it doesn't make sense. I have often wondered about this. If you cannot see a weave, you shouldn' be aware of it until it slices your throat in half.

There is no way to slice it in mid air. Males slicing specific female weaves individually, and vica versa don't make sense.

It would be like slicing a weave of the True Power.
