Slicing a weave you can't see might not be that hard if you think about it. If you are going for precision strikes then you would have to have wardings to know exactly where to strike. In Rand's case Lanfear was trying to shield him and the weave was connecting with his link to the source so he knew where it was.

Lanfear had no such aid but she may not have needed it. Think of it like swinging a sword in front of you with your eyes closed and your back to a wall. Chances are the attackers is comming at you from the front. You may not know exactly where he/she is but if you swing fast enought and widely enough you have a good chance of connecting considering one can weave a lot faster that swing a sword.

It would not be 100% but Lanfear was probably able to assume that Rand's attacks would be directed at either her head or centre of mass, so that limits the area she had to cover. If she is skilled it not going to be a crude sword she is using but something more like the blades of a fan in front of her.

When Rand was fighting her he was having a hard time because he did not want to listen to LTT who was trying to show him ways to defeat her. That suggests that there are ways and means and someone who went through 10 years of world war using the OP as a weapon.
