If Lan is to survive the desperate charge into Tarwins Gap, something extraordinary will need to occur. The one wild card that I think could save him is Logain and the Asha'man that follow him. With Nynaeve having healed Logain, and having assisted Rand in the cleansing, Logain and the Asha'man have an obligation to do what they can for her in appreciation. Making sure Lan survives and assisting him in taking and securing Malkier would be a major way for them to repay Nynaeve for what she has done for them.
