Without knowing just what happens in GS I would speculate something about Tar Valon. Also, I'm rusty on WOT lore, but wasn't there a tower in Seanchan too? So maybe it is about the two towers and the war for Tar Valon?


If Egwene only has five or six chapters in the book, I would guess that most, though not all, of the battling over Tar Valon would happen in TGS. Still, it seems likely that the Rand-Eg confrontation will happen in TV in the course of the book, so it isn't out of the question that the Tower could have a role to play.

The Seanchan idea is an intriguing possibility, but didn't either RJ or Sanderson say somewhere that we wouldn't be seeing Seanchan proper in the remaining books (debunking the theory that Rand would literally kneal before the Crystal Throne), or am I dreaming that up?

Also, any thoughts on the significance of Midnight in the title, beyond reenforcing the absence-of-light motif of AMOL?
