I don't think so. The headaches didn't start until book 10, possibly the tail end of 9. The first (AS) murder is towards the middle of 10 (Halima killed Eggy's other servants much earlier). I believe Sheriam was beaten towards the middle of 9. It was shortly after Halima first came to the rebels.
