They both had cause for what they did. The ends does not justify the means though. You think that Faile's cause (the belief due to her Saldean heritage that the wife's job is to, fiercely I might add, protect their husband) isn't that important and that Perrin's is. I disagree.
She was not his wife at the time. The "her rightful place" argument doesn't apply.
