It is possible this may apply to ter'angreal, as well. It seems that this would account for why Elayne's duplicates are imperfect with the best being subtly flawed as well as why this capability was lost during the Breaking. If saidin and saidar were both needed to produce a perfect, ter'angreal, angreal and/or sa'angreal, having no access to males with the Talent would stymie the creation of new artifacts.


That makes complete sense. And explains why Perrin's hammer works so well - it was made with both. I like it :)
