Amacidia for 2 reasons.

1. Female channelers are treated the worst here, even worse than Tear. At least Tear tolerates channelers as along as they don't channel.

2. Amacidia is ruled by the Children. I personally have never seen one women in the Children's rank (though if I'm wrong, please correct me).


Name a female military officer who held her rank before Elayne formed her bodyguard. It is not unique to the Children, and is, in fact, universal. Even the Aiel with their female warriors, and the Sea Folk whose women presumably fight alongside the men to defend the ship, do not have female commanders, and by their societal rules and customs, may NOT have female commanders. If the wetlands ever had women joining the military at large, I don't see any block to female commanders, like among the Aiel or Sea Folk, where a woman cannot be a chief of Cargomaster.

Amadicia believes channeling is evil, not because of the gender, but because of the act itself. Suggesting that their hatred of channeling is a symptom or indicator of misogyny is like saying that the Red Ajah hunts male channelers because they hate men. Nynaeve and the Ebou Dari Wise Women actually JUSTIFY the positions of the Amadicians vis a vis male-only doctors - channelers DO pass themselves off as ordinary medical practioners and herbalists, and refusing to let them practice their trade curtails one way for channelers to operate in Amadicia under the cover of an innocent profession. In how many other professions can a channeler cover her channeling as something mundane?
